Real Kinder Morgan Hearings

Comments Off on Real Kinder Morgan Hearings

The federal government is expected to make a final decision regarding the proposed Kinder Morgan Pipeline and Tanker Expansion by the end of this year, and they need to hear from you!

The majority of British Columbians & First Nations Peoples are opposed to the proposed Kinder Morgan Pipeline and Tanker Expansion, and hundreds who applied to participate in the NEB hearings were denied the opportunity to have their voices heard. In May of this year, the Federal government appointed a 3-member panel of ministerial reps to consult with communities and First Nations along the route of the pipeline – but this is not enough! They need to hear from all of us!

BROKE-Burnaby Residents Opposing Kinder Morgan Expansion has partnered with RealHearings to launch, a website which amplifies your concerns about the proposed Kinder Morgan Pipeline and Tanker Expansion. This alternative, citizen-led process will automatically forward your comments to PM Justin Trudeau, your MP, as well as other key local, regional and national decision makers, including the 3-member panel of ministerial reps. It will also be an open archive of public concerns about this issue.

Together we can send a clear message to the Federal government, in advance of their decision expected by December 31, that there is no community permission for the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion.

Can you please take five minutes to send a message to Ottawa expressing your concerns about the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion?

Let’s send a clear message to PM Justin Trudeau, MPs and other key decision makers – we can’t build more tar sands pipelines and fight climate change at the same time. Together we can protect our environment for present and future generations!

With thanks,
your neighbours at BROKE and RealHearings

We’re excited to work with a broad range of allies on this issue, because whether our concern is climate change, protecting our neighbourhoods, or saving the endangered southern resident killer whale population from massive industrial projects, we have common cause in calling for a rejection of the Kinder Morgan Pipeline and Tanker Expansion project.
